Stocks That Were In News On May 10, 2016

The 30-share benchmark index ended the trade at 25772.53 , higher by 83.67 points, while the NSE Nifty was at 7887.80, up by 21.75 points.

On the global front, Asian peers ended the day in green. Meanwhile, European counters were also trading in green.

JSW Steel

Sajjan Jindal-led JSW Steel is in the fray to acquire Tata Steel's loss-making business in the UK, reports PTI .The stock ended the day at Rs 1286, lower by 3.08 per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday high at Rs 1324 during the trade.

Vardhman Textiles

Textile major Vardhman Textiles has reported 45.9 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit at Rs 159.44 crore for the January-March quarter 2016.

The stock ended the day at Rs 996, lower by 0.60 percent on BSE. It touched an intraday high at Rs 1008 and low at Rs970 during the trade.

Arvind

Arvind Ltd said that it is planning to raise up to Rs 500 crore through issuance of non-convertible debentures on a private placement basis.

The stock ended the day at Rs 288, higher by 0.68 per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday high at Rs 2936 during the trade.

Alstom India

Shares dropped after the company reported about 62 per cent drop in net profit for the quarter ended March 31, 2016.

The stock ended the day at Rs 612, higher by 0.33per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday high at Rs 622 during the trade.

Ujjivan Financial Service

Ujjivan Financial Services was listed at the exchanges at Rs 231.90 per share up, 10.4 percent over its issue price of Rs 210 per share.
